자산어보에 기록된 바에 따르면 해파리는 해타(aLt)라 불리었다. 이 독특한 생명체는 뇌도 심장도 없이 진화하였다. 이들은 마치 스스로 빛을 뿜어내듯 어두운 물속에서 반짝인다. 뚜렷한 목적 없이 물살에 몸을 맡기며 유영하듯 보이는 그들의 움직 임에는 의도와 방향이 존재하지 않는 것 같으나, 그 속에는 조화로운 리듬이 있다. 해파리는 환경에 따라 방향을 학습하기 때문이다.
나 역시 반복되는 일상 속에서 흘러가는 물살에 몸을 맡기며 살아가고 있었다. 하지만 이제는 단조로운 흐름을 벗어나, 살아 있는 것들과의 상호작용을 통해 삶의 방향을 확장하고자 한다
디지털 세계는 0과 1로 이루어져 있다. 하나의 픽셀이 가질 수 있는 정보값은 0과 1 오직 두 가지뿐이다. 제한적인 픽셀 속에 해파리의 움직임을 담아보고자 한다. 해파리의 자유롭고도 끊임없는 움직임은 단조롭던 픽셀의 성질을 변화시킨다. 모든 픽셀 하나하나가 마치 살아 움직이는 존재처럼 자아를 부여받고, 더 이상 고정된 것이 아닌 스스로 표현할 수 있는 매개체가 된다.

In the "Jasan Abo," jellyfish were referred to as "Haeta". This unique creature has evolved without a brain or a heart.
They shimmer in the dark waters as if they emit their own light. Their movements may appear aimless as they drift with the currents, seemingly lacking intention and direction. Yet within this apparent randomness lies a harmonious rhythm.
Jellyfish are capable of learning to navigate based on their environment, adapting their movements accordingly.
I have been drifting along with the currents of my repetitive daily life. However, I wish to break free from this monotony and expand the direction of my life through interactions with the living.
The digital world consists of zeros and ones. Each pixel can only represent two values: 0 or 1. I want to capture the movements of jellyfish within these limited pixels. The jellyfish's free and continuous motion transforms the once monotonous nature of the pixels. Each pixel gains a sense of identity, becoming a medium that can express itself rather than remaining static.
