노이즈를 넘어서

"노이즈"는 직역하면 잡음이나 소음을 뜻하지만, 사진에서는 원치 않는 신호"로 표현되기도 한다. 노이즈가 많아지면 이미지의 품질에 영향을 주듯이, 우리의 삶에서도 원치않는 정보가 진실을 가리는 장애물이 될 수 있다.
이번 작품에서는 현재 딥페이크 정보들이 난무하는 세상 속 우리의 시야를 가리고 정보를 흐리게 만드는 장애물인 "노이즈"를 넘어, 진실을 찾고자 하는 의미를 담았다.
이러한 생각은 당장 모든 사람들이 바로 관심을 가질 수 있고 터무니없는 정보여도 한번쯤은 생각해 볼 수 있는 뉴스 주제는 무엇이 있을까?
로 이어졌고 그래서 작가는 2024년 북한이 한국을 침공했다는 가상의 시나리오를 바탕으로 AI로 제작된 가짜 기사와 이미지를 만들게 되었다.
이 작품은 지나치게 허구적인 상황이라 이 정보를 그대로 믿기는 어렵겠지만, 한 번쯤 생각해보는 시간을 가짐으로써 이 작품을 보는 사람들이 진실의 중요성과 정보의 비판적 해석의 필요성을 더욱 절실히 느낄 수 있기를 바라는 바이다.

"Noise" means noise or noise in literal translation, but is sometimes expressed as "unwanted signal" in photographs.
Just as more noise aCects the quality of images, unwanted information can become an obstacle to truth in our lives.
This work contains the meaning of finding the truth beyond "noise," an obstacle that obscures our view and obscures information in a world where deepfake information is currently rampant.
This idea led to "What is a news topic that everyone can be interested in right now and think about at least once, even if it is absurd information?" So the author created fake Al-generated articles and images based on a
hypothetical scenario that North Korea invaded South Korea in 2024.
This work is an overly fictional situation, so it is diCicult to believe this information as it is, but I hope that by taking time to think about it once, people who see this work will feel more keenly the importance of truth and the need for critical interpretation of the information.
